"People first paid honour to a spot and afterwards gained glory for it. Men did not love Rome because she was great. She was great because they had loved her."

Fairfield Monastery

My family and I have moved back to the southeast after spending this last year helping a group of Carmelite nuns begin establishing a monastery near Gettysburg, PA. It was a lovely year, filled with many lovely people and committed craftsman that I am glad to now call friends. I’ll enjoy going back up to contribute on smaller aspects of the project, but for now I’m glad to be back home near friends and family.

Looking back at the recent series of moves, transitions, and high workloads I’m not entirely surprised that this website has laid dormant for this last year. But, it’s never sat easy with me and I am working to set aside the time to resume the posts. For now, I’ll post a few pictures of my work and time in Pennsylvania.
